SMS Terms of Service

These SMS Terms of Service apply to transactional text messages Renta Labs LLC sends in connection with the Renta platform. They complement our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Booking and account messaging apply to renters using the Renta Platform at getrenta.io. Renta Labs company information appears at rentalabs.io.
1. Program Name
Renta Booking & Account Notifications.
2. Program Description
Renta and Renta-powered rental businesses (each a “Tenant”) send transactional SMS to renters who provide a mobile number during booking or account creation. Messages may include: one-time login codes, booking confirmations, payment links, waiver links, pre-rental reminders, and rental updates.
3. How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive SMS through any of the following methods:
- Checkout checkbox — During checkout on a Renta-powered storefront, check the SMS consent checkbox next to your phone number to receive booking-related messages.
- Additional rider checkbox — When added as a rider on a booking, check the SMS consent checkbox next to your phone number to receive waiver and booking-related messages.
- Profile SMS toggle — Logged-in users can enable or disable SMS notifications from their account profile settings at any time.



The disclosure shown next to the checkout and rider checkboxes is:
“I agree to receive SMS from Renta Labs LLC and the rental shop I'm booking with, including booking confirmations and reminders. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. SMS Terms & Privacy Policy.”
The same wording appears in Section 17 (SMS / Text Messaging) of our Privacy Policy.
4. Message Frequency
Varies based on your booking activity. You may receive multiple messages per booking.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply.
Carriers do not guarantee delivery. Renta is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. How to Opt Out and Opt Back In
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from non-essential SMS. After opting out you may still receive messages required to fulfill an active booking via email.
If you change your mind, reply START (or UNSTOP) to the same number to resume receiving SMS messages.
7. How to Get Help
Reply HELP for assistance. You can also email support@getrenta.io. For questions about a specific reservation, contact the rental shop you booked with (their details are on your confirmation).
8. Supported Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and most other US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Privacy
Information about how we handle phone numbers and related data is described in Section 17 of our Privacy Policy (“SMS / Text Messaging”).
Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
10. Changes to These SMS Terms
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
